About Councilmember Condit
(Bio drafted by Vice Mayor Condit)

Couper Condit was born at Memorial Hospital in Modesto, raised in Ceres, and moved to Arizona in 2004. In 2012, Couper moved back to Ceres and attended Whitmore Charter High School and Modesto High School. Couper was awarded Ceres Young Citizen of the Year in 2014 by the Ceres Chamber of Commerce.

After graduating from Modesto High School Couper attended classes at Modesto Junior College and was appointed to the Ceres Planning Commission in April of 2015. Couper advocates for reforms to the General Plan process, agricultural land preservation, earmarking revenue directly for public safety, and reinvestment in Ceres housing. In 2016 Heath Flora hired Couper to manage his campaign for State Assembly. The Flora campaign was successful and Assemblyman Flora hired Couper to be his District Director.

Couper was removed from the Planning Commission in January of 2020, for his insistence of being an independent thinker. July 22 2020, Couper Condit became a candidate for Ceres City Council District 4. In a 3 month campaign and a four person race, Couper was successful in the 2020 November 3 General Election.
