Community ATP Survey

  1. The City invites your input on the following proposed Projects:

    **Bicycle & Pedestrian Enhancement on Hatch Road and **Eastgate Blvd Bike Connectivity

  2. The City will be seeking Active Transportation Program grant funds to improve existing bicycle and pedestrian facilities and provide better bike connectivity in the City. The grant goals are to provide safe, efficient and accessible paths for bicyclists/pedestrians and increase the number of active users. We want to hear from you about the propose project and your input on how to increase active users (bicyclists, walking, transit, other) in our community. Your input is valuable and it will help us plan and implement improvements that supports community’s needs.

  4. A. GENERAL QUESTIONS

  5. 1. Do you Live in the City of Ceres?*

  6. 2. Do you feel walking and bicycling is unsafe in the City*

  7. 3. Do you travel by walking or biking within the City to reach destination points such as the store, bank, school, transit, work etc? *

  8. B. AREA OF IMPROVEMENTS

  9. 1. Are there locations in the City you would like sidewalks (or improvements)?*

  10. 2. Are there locations in the City you would like bicycle lanes/path? *

  11. C. The City is considering the below project to improve safety enhancements along the existing multi-use path and sidewalks on Hatch Road corridor. Improvements to be considered include adding solar powered safety lights, improving path crossing at intersections, install wayfinding signs and dog waste stations, infilling gaps along the pedestrian path with concrete.

    What are the reasons you, or someone you know do not use the bike and pedestrian path?

  16. 1) There is so much traffic that it is unpleasant to walk or bike

  17. 2) The speed of traffic concerns me

  18. 3) The path feels unsafe due to poor lighting

  19. 4) The path is unsafe due to obstructions, gaps, cracks, accessibility

  20. D. The City is considering the below project to increase bike connectivity by adding bike lanes along Eastgate Blvd from Hatch Rd to Whitmore Ave. The project also improves safety along the existing multi-use path on Hatch Road.
