City of Ceres Utility Payments
Staff is available to answer questions regarding your Utility Bill from the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, by calling 209-538-5757.
In addition to paying your bill by mail, you may pay your bill online at www.ci.ceres.ca.us, or by placing your payment in our drop box on the corner of 2nd and Magnolia Streets.

The Finance Department provides utility billing and collections administration for customers using City water, sewer and garbage services. This includes billing and payment services and maintenance of customer accounts.

Problems or Questions Regarding Existing Service
Have problems with or questions about your sewer or water service/equipment? Please contact the Public Works Department at 209-538-5732 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
For after-hours service emergencies, please call 209-538-5712.
Paying Your Bills
The fees for water, sewer and garbage services are included in the Utility Fee Schedule (PDF).
Pay Online
For Utility Customers, the City of Ceres Finance Department offers an easy way to pay! You can pay your Ceres utility bill online. With online bill pay, you can:
- Access your billing statement history online.
- Access your utility bill online.
- Get email notification when your billing statement is available.
- Pay your bill quickly and economically.
- Sign up for automatic pay, and never pay late again.
Pay at City Hall
For customer convenience, there is also a drive-up utility bill payment box located at City Hall on the corner of Second and Magnolia streets. A traffic lane on the right side of the box allows you to easily deposit payments from the driver’s side of your vehicle.
The City of Ceres Finance Department accepts VISA and MasterCard debit and credit cards for payments at the customer service counter.
Low Income Utility User’s Tax Exemption Program
An exemption of 3% Utility User’s Tax for electricity, natural gas, telephone, and cable television is available to households that fall into an income limit established by the California Department of Housing and Community Development.
