The City of Ceres, in partnership with CALTRANS Clean California program, is offering Ceres residential customers free disposal of large household items at the City of Ceres Free Community Disposal Day. 

*Participants must be a City of Ceres utility customer and present their most recent utility bill and photo ID at the event entrance.

*No more than one truck load per current utility bill.

*No vehicle loads larger than a pick-up truck accepted.

*NO REGULAR HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE.  ONLY LARGE ITEMS FOR DISPOSAL.

ACCEPTED ITEMS

  • Appliances
  • Bulky Items – furniture, chairs, tables, etc.
  • Mattresses (Limit 4)
  • Car and pickup tires (Limit 9, No large truck tires, with or without rims acceptable)
  • E-waste (electronic waste)

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Hazardous waste (such as paints, oils, treated lumber and other chemicals)
  • Green waste (leaves, pruning's, grass, brush vegetation, etc.)
  • Concrete and demolition materials
  • Household Trash (garbage in garbage bags)

  • Microwaves
  • Cell phones
  • PCs / Computers/ Servers
  • Cables
  • Mixed Electronic Waste – keyboards, mice, scanners, stereos
  • TVs and Monitors
  • Flat screens / LCD Panels
  • Rear Projection TVs
  • Laptops

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Batteries
  • Hazardous Waste (Light bulbs/Fluorescent Bulbs, Batteries)
  • Ink Cartridges
  • Printers
  • Copiers
  • Fax Machines
