The Ceres City Council reviewed proposed 2021 City Solid Waste Rates at the Regular City Council meeting held on September 28, 2020, and voted to move forward with the process established under California’s Proposition 218 to hold a November 23, 2020 public hearing on the proposed rates. A notice of public hearing detailing the proposed rate changes was mailed to Ceres solid waste customers on October 1st and available online for review.
The process for providing written protest is included in the public hearing notice. Solid Waste customers will have a 45-day window of time to submit written protests leading up to the November 23 public hearing.
